Miranda Andrea Carr, 21 years old, was born on July 16, 1997 in Kansas City, Missouri to Pashell Andrea Carr and Brent Eugene Briggs. She departed this life October 23, 2018. Miranda was preceded in death by her grandfather, Russell Richardson Jr.; uncle, Richard Richardson; and great-grandmother, Bertha Lee Carr.

Miranda was educated in the Grandview Missouri School District. She was an enthusiastic learner and excelled in academics and sports throughout her school years. During her high school years, Miranda was a member of the Honor Roll, A+ Program, Varsity Basketball Team, Band, Marching Band, Volleyball Team and Track and Field Team.

Her love for sports and athletic prowess afforded her the opportunity to compete on the KCEC Track Team. Miranda earned numerous academic and sports medals and certificates. After graduating from Grandview Senior High School in 2015.

Miranda attended Longview Community College, with the goal of pursuing a career in Physical Therapy. Miranda’s vivacious spirit and love for life spoke volumes of her character. She was strong-willed, energetic and determined, never shying away from a challenge.

She had an infectious smile that lit up a room. Miranda was beautiful, loving and kindhearted. She saw the best in others and sought the best for herself.

Miranda was intelligent and understood the power hard work. She worked diligently to be a good student and athlete. She pursued peace and persistently sought it for others, even stepping in to mediate disputes among her peers.

Her independence and maturity led her to travel around the country which she enjoyed immensely. Miranda was also funny and fun to be around. She had a great sense of humor and loved pulling pranks.

She would laugh hysterically as people fell for her tricks. She was a precious daughter and granddaughter, a doting sister, a loving niece, a dear cousin and a devoted friend. She brought joy to all who were blessed to be in her presence.

We will celebrate and treasure her memory in the deepest part of our hearts. She leaves to cherish her memory: her mother, Pashell Carr and father, Brent Briggs; brother, Clifton Johnson; siblings, Neshia Young, Jasmine Davis, Brent Briggs Jr., and Akia Briggs; maternal grandmother, Georgia Carr; maternal Great grandmother, Beverly Jasper; paternal grandfather, Brent Strozier; paternal grandmother, Ethel Briggs; paternal great-grandmother, Ruby Briggs; aunts, LaShawn White, Shanae McMiller; uncle, Quvon Carr; great aunts, Tammy Kennedy, Dorothy Washington; great uncle, William Richardson; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Prince of Peace Missionary Baptist Church 4301 Wabash KCMO 64130.

Visitation 9:00 A.M. Interment Forest Hill Cemetery.
