Miriam Jolly Humphries September 15, 1932 – December 23, 2018 Local Florists Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Miriam Humphries Gaffney, SC – – Miriam Jolly Humphries, 86, of 1472 Boiling Springs Highway, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 23, 2018, which was Charles and Miriam’s 70th wedding anniversary. Born in Gaffney, she was the wife of the late Charles Ophy Humphries and the daughter of the late Columbus Mills (Doc) Jolly and Marie Burgess Jolly. She was a homemaker, enjoyed camping, attending rodeo events and loved fellowshipping with her friends.

Mrs. Humphries was a member of Grassy Pond Baptist Church. Surviving are a son, Mitchel Humphries and wife, Cindy of Gaffney; a sister, Florence (Pee Wee) Wittenbarger and husband, Howard of Sevierville, TN; two grandchildren, Amy Michelle Humphries of Lexington and Joshua Paul Humphries of Gaffney. The family would like to extend a special thanks to her caregivers, Betty Sarratt, Janie Myers, Nikki Mathis, Saphees Palmer and Martha Love.

Also, a special thanks to Hospice Care of SC, especially Lisa Jolly for her exceptional love and care. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3:00 PM on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at Grassy Pond Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held immediately follow at 3:00 PM at the church with Reverend Martin Hogg and Reverend Wil Owens officiating.

Interment will be in Grassy Pond Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be at her home, 1472 Boiling Springs Highway. An online guest register is available at www.
