Monica Irene Hendershot June 26, 1959 – February 21, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Monica Irene Hendershot, age 59, of Bella Vista, Arkansas passed away February 21, 2019. She was born June 26, 1959 in Hutchinson, Kansas to Donald and Myrth (Theede) Hollingsworth. She graduated from Nickerson High School in 1977 and from Hutchinson Community College in 1980.

She received her BSW from the University of Kansas in 1983 and her MSW in 1986. Monica worked at Pizza Hut, Burger King, Big Cheese, Big Dipper, Montgomery Wards and Kansas Geological Survey before beginning her professional career. Her professional career included Stormont Vail Hospital, Kanza Mental Health Center, Baptist Medical Center, Heartland Mental Health Center and twelve years in private practice Crossings Counseling and Consulting in Pratt, Kansas.

Monica was an active member of Pratt Friends Church and FBC in Pratt Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents. Left to cherish her memories are her loving husband, Stan Hendershot; children, Joel Hendershot of Pratt, KS and Kati and husband David Frey of Bella Vista; and granddaughter, Juliette Frey.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, March 2nd at First Baptist Church, 800 N. Main Street, Hutchinson, Kansas. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Pratt Friends Church, The Hope Center or Circle of Life Hospice. Arrangements are by Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory.
