Morris’ Obituary Morris “Chub” G. Myers, 87, of Liberty Center, Ohio passed away February 7, 2019 at Northcrest Nursing Home. He was born on September 22, 1931 in St. George, West Virginia to the late Gordon G. and Ethel (Nestor) Myers. Morris proudly served in the US Army Corp of Engineers and was a member of the VFW, AMVETS, and American Legion Post 300 all in Napoleon, Ohio as well as the Moose Lodge.

Morris had worked for the Lathrop Company and was a member of the Carpenter Local Union 1581. He attended Liberty Chapel United Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, especially in West Virginia.

His grandchildren and great grandchildren always had a special place in his heart and he will be greatly missed by all. Morris is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Lou (Mohler) Myers of Liberty Center, OH; Rusty (Lori) Coey of Liberty Center; Deborah (John) Leuthold of Bucyrus; Michael Myers of Grand Rapids; and Tom (Christy) Myers of Liberty Center; grandchildren: Jason (Celeste) Coey, Jacob Coey, Eric (Abby) Leuthold, Matthew Leuthold, Joshua Leuthold, Michael Myers, Jodi (Brian) Vogt, Eric Nijakowski, Wesley Myers, Andrew Myers, and Ethan Myers; 11 great grandchildren; siblings: Junior Myers, Don Myers; Allen Myers; Richard Myers; Boyd Myers; Madelyn Weaver and Kathleen Hovan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant son Morris Eugene; brothers: Charles Myers, Robert Myers, and Ralph Myers.

Visitation for Morris will be held on Sunday, February 10, 2019 from 1:00 – 4:00 PM in the Wright-Hanneman Funeral Home, 302 E. Maple Street, Liberty Center, Ohio. Funeral Services for Morris will be held on Monday, February 11, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Liberty Chapel United Methodist Church, 9-474 County Road V, Liberty Center, Ohio with burial to immediately follow in Young Cemetery. Memorial Contributions in Morris’s honor may be gifted to the either Liberty Chapel United Methodist Church or to Henry County Home Health & Hospice.
