Mozell Trotter 82 of Ravenna passed away Sunday, December 23, 2018. She was born August 2, 1936 in Grenada, MS to Mosetta Bew and Echols McCorkle. Mozell was a well known resident of the Portage County Community.

She was a longtime member of the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church where she served on the trustee board and she was a member of the Skeels Community Center. Mozell was a domestic for many years in the area before she joined the staff Robinson Memorial Hospital staring in the laundry and ending up as the mail clerk, serving for 26 years. Survivors include her children Clarice (Rev.

Dr. Larryissac) Scott and Jerry Trotter, 3 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, siblings Mattie Clark, Betty Williams, Shirley (James) Harris, Opal (Linwood) Tedford and Joyce Bew and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Otis Trotter and siblings Willie M. Drew, Theodore White, Roger Bew, R.L. Willams, Robert Lee Bew, Bobby L. Bridges, Rosalee Lee, Doralee Hazard, Ethel M. Lott and Albert McCorkle. Calling hours will be from 6 – 8 PM Friday, December 28, 2018 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel.

Funeral services will be at 10 AM Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, 5504 S. Prospect Street in Ravenna. Reverend John Hurd and Reverend Dr. Larryissac Scott will officiate. Burial will follow in Mapel Grove Cemetery in Ravenna.
