Obituary for Mrs Dora Foster Dora Foster passed away one month before her 100th birthday. Dora was born August 28, 1918 in Easton, Pennsylvania. After graduating from Easton High School, class of 1936, she earned an Associate Degree in Cosmetology.

She married Stephen Foster and moved to Youngstown, Ohio where they entered the world of Cinema, a business venture they both loved for thirty-five years before retiring. It was evident that Dora was a woman before her time with her outstanding business acumen in her management of the three theaters they operated and the Uptown Theater, which they owned and which became the Crown Jewel of Youngstown’s neighborhood theaters. After her move to Akron, Dora was active in a number of organizations including The Welcomers’ club, Daughters of Penelope, Philoptochos Society, Eastern Star and White Shrine.

She was also a member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church and Fairlawn Country Club. Dora was preceded in death by her parents; Dimitrious and Eleftheria Theodoredis, sisters; Dorthea Matis and Mitzi Faust, brothers; Nick and Emanuel Theodoredis. Dora is survived by her dear sister-in-law Melissa Theodoredis, daughters; Harriet (Dr. Nick) Limbert and Suzanne; many loving nieces and nephews.

Her family would like to thank Dora’s loving caregiver, Julia Cornue. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners Hospitals for children, One of a Kind pet rescue or St. Jude Children’s research Hospital. Calling hours will be held SUNDAY, July 15, from 5-7 PM with a Trisagion Service at 7 PM at the Billow Fairlawn Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd.

, Fairlawn, OH 44333. There will also be Calling hours from 10-11AM MONDAY, July 16, at St. John’s Greek Orthodox Church, 4955 Glenwood Ave. , Boardman, OH 44512 with Funeral Services at 11:00 AM with Rev.

Fr. Joseph DiStefano officiating. Internment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
