Obituary for Mrs Jane Vina Kalleward KALLEWARD, Jane V. Kalamazoo, MI Jane V. DeBoer Kalleward, 90, passed away Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Amber Way, Heritage Community, with her family at her side. She was born November 22, 1927 to the late John and Katie DeBoer. Jane was united in marriage to Howard D. Kalleward on June 25, 1948 and celebrated 70 years of marriage.

Jane was a charter member of Greenwood Reformed Church, serving on many committees and singing in the choir for over 50 years. She was a medical secretary for 23 years for Drs. Birch, Peake, Gerstner and Bald.

Jane was an avid golfer, enjoyed knitting and volunteered at Angling Road Elementary School. She is survived by her loving husband, Howard Kalleward; children, Karen (David) Witvoet and Kathy Thomas; grandchildren, Timothy (Shannon) Witvoet, John Witvoet, Kate (Ian) Lochridge and Allyson Thomas; and great-grandchildren, Carson and Piper Witvoet. Jane was preceded in death by her sisters, Jeannine Milne and Ileane Boes.

A private family graveside will take place at Mount Ever-Rest Memorial Park, South. A memorial service to celebrate Jane’s life will be held Saturday morning, June 30, 2018 at Greenwood Reformed Church, 1815 Winton Ave. , with Pastor Jon Loper officiating.

Visitation will begin at 9:30 and services will begin at 10:30. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Greenwood Reformed Church or Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan. Please visit Jane’s personalized web page for directions, online guest book or to leave a condolence.
