Obituary for Murphy Arceneaux Murphy L. Arceneaux passed away November 15, 2018, at Lafourche Home for the Aged with family by his side. Murphy was 88, born to Tilton and Marie Arceneaux on May 14, 1930 in Thibodaux. He was a U. S. Army veteran.

Murphy is survived by wife, Gertrude Rodriguez; sons, Michael Arceneaux and wife Kay, Mark Arceneaux and wife Cheryl, Bryan Arceneaux and wife Rebecca; daughter, Cindy A. Hidalgo; stepsons, Michael Rodriguez and wife Nell, and Terry Rodriguez and wife Cheryl; seven grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. Murphy is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Diana Gaubert Arceneaux; and his seven siblings. A visitation will be held in his honor on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at Landry’s Funeral Home, Thibodaux, LA from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm and Monday, November 19, 2018 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Thibodaux from 9:00 am until military services at 10:30 am with Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family would like to thank his special caregivers at Lafourche Home for the Aged and St. Catherine Hospice. Online condolences can be given at www.
