Myrtie Bell Miles, 80, wife of the late Marvin Miles, passed away Wednesday, May 08, 2019, at her residence. Mrs. Miles was born on November 9, 1938 in Florence County, daughter of the late Luther and Minnie Miles. She was educated in the Florence County Schools and worked as a seamstress for many years.

Mrs. Miles was a loving mother and granny to so many. People loved her cooking and her door was always open to family and friends. Surviving are her daughters, Debby Miles, Wanda (Dennis) Matthews and Norma Reed, all of Coward, and Brenda Bratschi of Columbia; grandchildren, Denny Matthews, Heath (Jessica) Matthews, Frankie Miles, all of Coward, Tiffany Miles of Aiken and Taylor Miles of Florence; great grandchildren, Julian Matthews, Jordan Matthews and Gavin Matthews, all of Pamplico, Hailey Stanley, Hunter Irwin and Aiden Matthews, all of Coward; brother, William “Bubba” (Kat) Miles of Coward; sisters, Virginia Evans of Coward and Peggy Miles of Scranton; sister-in-law, Annie Mae Pate of Coward; special friends, Kat Kruezer and Chris Weaver; and many special nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Miles was preceded in death by a sister, Dalphine Collins; and son-in-law, Jim Bo Reed. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 11, 2019, at Coward Pentecostal Holiness Church, with burial to follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Friday, May 10, 2019, at Carolina Funeral Home, Scranton.
