Myrtle “Morrie” Brierly, 76 of Jeffersonville, IN passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville. Morrie was born on January 13, 1942 in Madison, IN the daughter of Nathan Howard and Jennie Buchanan Jenkins. She worked in Telephone Electronics for over 30 years with Western Electric and AT&T in the Denver, Colorado area.

Morrie’s passions were her love of reading, movies, the theatre especially Derby Dinner Playhouse, flowers and the love of her family. Survivors include her daughter, Lana K. Elston of Jeffersonville, IN; son, Leslie K. Elston and his wife Tamatha of Charlestown; honorary son, Brian K. Elston of Charlestown; sisters, Naomi Mack of Madison, IN and Martha Reid of Fulton, IN; granddaughter, Stacy Marie Elston; great-granddaughter, Julia Marie Baird; several nieces and nephews. Morrie was proceeded in death by her parents, sisters, Norma Jean Jenkins, Betty Lou Henderson and Anna Katherine Geyman; brothers, James William Jenkins, Elsa Curtis Jenkins and Nathan Howard Jenkins, Jr. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 7:00 P.M. at the Grayson Funeral Home in New Washington, IN with burial in Owen Creek Cemetery in Charlestown, IN.

Visitation will be held on Saturday beginning at 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Morrie may take the form of donations to Amedisys Hospice in Jeffersonville, IN.
