Robert “Bob” Lee Smith, 76, of Charlestown passed away on February 17, 2019 at his residence. He was born on August 7, 1942 to Ed and Margaret Thompson Smith in Huntington, West Virginia. He was an employee of General Electric for 33 years and was also a member of the Jeffersonville Farmers Market.

Bob was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather. Along with his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brothers James Smith and Glen Allen Prather. Survivors include: his wife Brenda Franklin Smith, sons Timothy Lee Smith (Allison) and Jason Smith (Jenny) both of Charlestown; brother William Smith (Rosemary) of New Albany, IN; sister Dorothy Rabbeth (Bob) of Clarksville, IN; his 5 grandchildren: Austin, Ashleigh, Nathan, Justin, and Julia Smith.

Life Celebration services will be held on Thursday February 21, 2019 at 11:00 am at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial to follow in Crown Hill Cemetery in New Washington, IN. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4:00 until 8:00pm and again on Thursday beginning at 9am.
