Bennettsville, SC Myrtle Owens Davis, 71, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at her residence in Bennettsville. Born March 15, 1948 in Bennettsville, SC, she was a daughter of the late Luther and Mary Bullard Owens. She was a retired nurse’s aide with Marlboro Park Hospital and Marlboro General.

She was a member of Smyrna United Methodist Church. Mrs. Davis enjoyed reading, watching tv, walking, and looking at nature and all of God’s creations. She is survived by her sister, Sylvia Owens of Bennettsville; aunt, Ann Owens; cousins, Lisa Hood, Martha Ann Gainey, and numerous other cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents listed above; husband, Starling Davis; and brother, Walter Franklin “Mickey” Owens. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 10, 2019 at Burroughs Funeral Home with burial to follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. just prior to the service at the funeral home.
