OBITUARY Nancy Daniel June 6, 1926 – November 22, 2018 Nancy Daniel South Yarmouth – Nancy Daniel, 92, of South Yarmouth passed away on November 22, 2018, at the Mayflower Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, West Yarmouth. Nancy was the daughter of the late Marion Childs Daniel and Joseph Daniel of Osterville. She spent her childhood years in Osterville, graduated from Barnstable High School in 1944.

Soon after graduating high school, she entered the order of the Franciscans Sisters of the Poor as Sr Ann Regina, eventually becoming the Mistress of Novices and also served as a member on the Council of the Congregation. While a Franciscan Sister of the Poor, Nancy graduated from St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing in 1950 and received a Master’s Degree in Education from Seton Hall University in 1955. Nancy left the order in the mid 1970’s, then worked as a nurse at St Mary’s Hospital, Hoboken, NJ for many years before returning to Cape Cod in the mid 1980’s where she worked as a Coding Director in the Medical Records Department at Cape Cod Hospital.

She attended Saint Pius X Parish of South Yarmouth, and made many friends while volunteering for various events. Nancy was predeceased by her brother Mitchell Daniel, sisters, Sr. Marion Agnes Daniel, Katherine Crowe, and Jane Everett. She is survived by her sister Josephine Swift of Lexington, KY and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, in addition to cousins far and wide whose lives she has touched.

Visiting Hours will be held on Wednesday, November 28 from 9-11 AM at Doane Beal & Ames, 160 West Main Street, Hyannis, MA 02601. A Funeral Mass will take place immediately after at 11:30 AM, Our Lady of the Assumption Church located at 76 Wianno Avenue, Osterville MA, 02655.
