Nancy’s Obituary Nancy Carroll Duke Baines, 84, passed away February 9, 2019. She was born in Gates County, NC the daughter of the late Nellie Mae Pierce Duke and John Clifton Duke, Sr. Nancy was predeceased by husband, Raymond Thomas Baines; son, Gary Thomas Baines; sister, Nell Thacker; and brothers, Beverly Duke and John Duke, Jr She retired from Lakeview Medical Center as a Medical Records Clerk.

Nancy was a member of Cypress Chapel Christian Church and Women of the Moose Suffolk Chapter #1315. Nancy is survived by her grandchildren, Keith Tadlock (Amie), Christopher Baines (Ashley), Tim Baines (Candy), Joseph Baines (Jennifer), Charlene Barnes (Stephen); daughter-in-law, Lisa D. Baines; and great grandchildren, Emily, Maciey, Hazel, Daron, Ashlin, Alayna, Christian, Dillion, Jarrett, Jessa, Addison, McKenzie, Jacob, and Ryder. A funeral service will be held Thursday, February 14, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Cypress Chapel Christian Church, 1891 Cypress Chapel Road, Suffolk, VA 23434 with Rev.

Tommy Reynolds officiating with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Friends may join the family for a time of visitation Wednesday night from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
