Nancy J. (Dunnell) Benson, 83, of 4 Conway St., Buckland died Thursday, Oct. 11, at Buckley Healthcare Center in Greenfield. She was born in Greenfield, August 3, 1935, the daughter of Dean and Marion (Hillman) Dunnell.

She recently moved back to the area after living in New Mexico for 20 years. Before moving to New Mexico she was employed by Judd Wire for many years. Nancy enjoyed gardening and most especially motorcycling.

She was an avid shopper ! Her husband Larry predeceased her in 2006 as well as their son Larry A. in 1993. She was also predeceased by her brother Russell Dunnell and her sister Phyllis Childs.

Survivors include her sons Kurt Benson of Shelburne and Garret Benson of Colrain; 2 grandsons Tom Benson of Brattleboro, VT, Joshua Benson of Colrain and her great-granddaughter Hailey Benson. A graveside service will be Tuesday, Oct. 16 at 1:00 pm at West Branch Cemetery in Colrain.
