Nancy had worked for Woodstock Confectionary for many years. She was currently with the McHenry County Clerk’s Office where she has been for the last 25 years. Having worked for the confectionary gave her a love of all things sweet.

Christmas was literally made of candy at her house. She also loved to bake. She was an animal lover and had volunteered with the humane society.

She appreciated all animals, but was partial to her cats. In addition, she followed baseball and football, both pro and college, and loved car racing, and of course her flowers. Mrs. Maynard is survived by her husband, Harry Maynard; daughter, Jaclyn Marie (George) Kramer; son, Timothy (Michelle) Maynard; a brother, Richard (Sandy) Kollenkark; as well as many nieces, nephews, and “grandpets”.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Carol Toewe; and a brother, Kenneth Kollenkark. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Schneider Leucht Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home 1211 N. Seminary Avenue, Woodstock. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 25, 2018.

Interment will follow in McHenry County Memorial Park Cemetery in Woodstock. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Helping Paws, or any humane society of the donor’s choice.
