DesMarie Bailey, 32, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away on August 31, 2018 in Arizona. She was born July 28, 1986 in Melrose Park, Illinois to Scott Bailey and Cynthia Sanchez. DesMarie graduated from the York Community High School in Elmhurst.

She will be remembered for her “bubbly personality”. She enjoyed Disney characters, and her family considered her a modern day Alice in Wonderland. DesMarie was working as a bartender in Phoenix Arizona.

Having been an avid softball player, she was able to enjoy Sox games in Chicago and spring training in Arizona. She was a person of many interests. She enjoyed going to nice restaurants, watching movies, cuddling, traveling to experience new places, relaxing by a pool, cooking, and reality TV.

She enjoyed many things, but nothing more than being with her family. She enjoyed going to concerts with her mom; being with her niece; and doing girly things like sharing makeup and shopping with her sister. But, nothing could compare to her dogs, her “children” really.

They were always with her and she them. DesMarie will be missed by many. She is survived by her mother and step father, Cynthia and Tim Matteson; her father and step mother, Scott and Linelle Bailey; her sisters, Hayley and Jackie Matteson; brothers, Adam and Brendan Bailey; a niece, McKenzie Bailey; nephews, Andrew and Kaiden Bailey; uncles, Fernando and Edgar Sanchez, and aunt, Cathy Sanchez, and Edgar Sanchez; grandparents, Dora Sanchez, and Ann & Lee Bailey; her boyfriend, Ryan Svendsen; and her beloved kids, Ewok, Gus, and Cyndil.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Andres Sanchez. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at the Schneider Leucht Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home 1211 N. Seminary Avenue, Woodstock, IL from 12:00 noon until the 3:30 pm Prayer Service. All other services will be private.
