Naomi Ruth Shields, age 84, passed away Sunday morning, March 3, 2019. Naomi was born August 8, 1939, in Slaton, Texas. Naomi was the fifth of seven children born to Roy and Mabel Johnson.

She graduated from Wilson High School in Wilson, Texas in 1953. She married Troy Shields June 6, 1954. She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Mabel Johnson, three sisters, three brothers, and her firstborn child, Glenda Shields Stone (Gary), and a daughter Brenda Shields Elliott (Dale).

her delight and joys of her heart were her seven grandchildren, Troy Shields Jr., Aaron Stone (Miranda), Ryan Shields (Gena), Kaylla Hillard (Henry); nine great grandchildren, Dallas, Kaitln, Kristen, Kinsley, Aubrey, Caleb, Alena, Ashlynn, and Ryann and she was excited abouthe upcoming birth of her first great-great grandchild. Naomi is also survived by her baby sister, Lena Morphis (David) of Texas; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Naomi was a long time member of First Assembly of God Church in North Little Rock, Arkansas.
