Born on July 11, 1949 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Charles and Betty (Gunzelman) Aswad. He was employed by the Como Restaurant, where he worked as a dishwasher.

A celebration of his life was held on Saturday, January 5th at Walnut Avenue Christian Church.
