Nathan’s Obituary Nathan F. Yellowhammer, 53 of St. Michael, ND, passed away on Friday, March 15, 2019. Funeral Services for Nathan will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Bdecan Church in Woodlake, ND, with Pastor Larry Theile officiating. A Wake will begin at 5:00 p.m. at the Tekawitha Center in St. Michael on Tuesday, March 19, 2019, with a Prayer Service at 6:00 p.m. The procession to the Tekawitha Center will leave from the City Center Plaza in Devils Lake on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. Serving as Casket Bearers for Nathan will be Eric Azure-Yellowhammer, Jeffrey Whiteshield-Yellowhammer, Jeremy, Jonathan & Jason Robertson, Dion and Daniel Peterson, Roger Feather and Michael Meade Sr. Honorary Pallbearers will be All Spirit Lake Nations Veterans, Family and Friends.

Nathan Frank Yellowhammer was born on October 26, 1965 the youngest son of Lang and Mary Rita (Abraham) Yellowhammer. Nathan Frank was raised and educated on the Spirit Lake Tribe. Nathan attended North Dakota State School of Science in Wahpeton, ND, where he obtained his certification in Small Engine Repair.

Nathan joined the armed forces and was in the Army. Nathan was a champion cross country runner in high school. He enjoyed listening to heavy metal music, visiting with family and friends, playing piano and traveling.

Nathan will be dearly missed by all that knew him. We love you Nathan, “Doksha, Cepsani” Nathan is survived of his daughter, Marita Yellowhammer, granddaughter, Mallory Martineau, Aunt- Sylvia Webber, Nephews, Eric Azure-Yellowhammer, Jeffrey Whiteshield, Jeremy, Jason, Jonathan Robertson, MaryAnn Ott, Cousins- Glen and Jacob Abraham, Margo Gourd, June Gourd-Yankton, Barbara Olds, Dallas, Josh, Donald Webber Jr., Kay Kikert, Eunice Davidson, Stanley, Wesley, Calvin Littlewind. Preceded in death by his parents; Lang and Mary Rita (Abraham) Yellowhammer, Brothers, David and John Yellowhammer, Sister, Muriel Robertson, Grandparents; Jerome and Jennie Abraham, Aunts; Esther Abraham, Eleanor Mazakahomni, Uncles; Dale, Walter, Joe, Vincent, Michael and Daniel Abraham.

Cousins; Mark Webber and Cherilu Pearson.
