Nellie Ruth Carlisle January 22, 1930 – March 16, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card The community of Bayview lost it’s beloved Granny, Nellie Ruth Carlisle on March 16th at the age of 89. Nell was born on January 22, 1930 to Clifton Owen and Ila Bailey. She was one of 13 children.

She was a member of Mulga Baptist Church. A loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She is preceded in death by her husband, William Lawrence Carlisle, granddaughter, Natalie Paige Granade, and 2 son-in-laws, Mike Atkinson and Dennis Echols.

She is survived by her 7 daughters, Susan King (Randall), Nancy Echols, Carol Granade (Donnie), Sandra Eastis (James Paul), Elaine Tyler (Mike), Lynne Atkinson and LaNell Parmley; 2 great granddaughters raised by their granny, Lyndsay Johnson (Randy) and Taylor King (Sandy). 16 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Evelyn Smith, Bettye Lawrence; brother, Harold Bailey (Daisy); Her best friend, Debbie Warren and a host of family and friends, many whom she enjoyed time with at the Sylvan Springs Senior Center. Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, March 20th at Bell Forestdale Chapel with burial to follow at Village Falls Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Wednesday from 10:30 until time of service. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity. Active Pallbearers will be Chad Echols, Jeremy Echols, Brad Granade, Ken Tyler, Chris Tyler, Robert Clark, Tony Clark and Justin Byrd.
