Nicholas Andrew Mininni, long time resident of Steubenville, Ohio died on December 29, 2018 in Pittsburgh, Pa. Nicholas was born on August 30, 1925 in Steubenville, Ohio to the late Amadeo and Cristina (Camerlengo) Mininni. He was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn (Brigante), whom he married April 21, 1956, his sisters Stella Firman and Phyllis Della.

He is survived by his sister Emily Horvat, three children Nicolette (Mark Myslinski) of Pittsburgh, PA, Claudette (Dennis) McCauley of Columbus, Ohio, Joseph (Ellen, deceased) of Wilmington, NC, and grandchildren, Christina, Nicholas, Michael, Adam, and Alec. Nick attended St. Anthony Grade School and Catholic Central High School. He was a member of the Triumph of the Cross Catholic Church.

Nick retired in 1989 as Superintendent of the City of Steubenville Water and Waste Water Departments. During his tenure he was recognized with an Award of Excellence by the United States Environmental Protection Agency in 1983. Following his retirement from the city, Nick continued to support the city as an elected Steubenville City Councilman.

He is a World War II Veteran, having served in the South Pacific. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Miami, Florida in 1952, was a member of Alpha Phi Delta Fraternity, and the Knights of Columbus. Friends will be received on Thursday, January 3, 2019 from 10 am to 12 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd, Steubenville.

A funeral liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Steubenville, at 12:30 pm on Thursday, January 33, 2019. Fr. Gray will celebrate.

Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Steubenville. Offer condolences, www.
