Beloved son of Annette (John) Muller and Mark (Annette) Vankerschaver. Loving brother of Nicole (Matthew) Wagner, Alexander Vankerschaver, Andrea Vankeschaver, and Aaron Vankerschaver. Dear grandson of Mary Vanderschaver.

Dear uncle of Ethan and Christian Wagner. Dear nephew of Raelene and Richard Reinhold, Michele Fisher, Bruce and Jill Vankerschaver. Preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Raymond Vankerschaver, and his maternal grandparents, Catherine and Ray Fisher.

Nicholas was born in Mt. Clemens, Michigan and spent the first four months of his life in the neonatal intensive care at Troy Beaumont. He resided at home with his family attending the Macomb Intermediate School District until he was 17 years old.

He then moved to the Mt. Pleasant Center. He finished his education while there through the Isabelle County School System and lived there until it closed.

He has called Predmore Group Home in Oakland County his home for the last nine years. Nicholas enjoyed the water—pool, shower, etc. If there was water, he’d want to be in it.

He liked to swing, spending time chilling in his recliner and he LOVED to go on shopping trips with his mom and caregivers. Nicholas had a long and painful journey through life, but his family finds comfort knowing that he is now at peace. He was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by his family and caregivers.

Nicholas’ family would also like to acknowledge all his dedicated and loving caregivers who were there for him throughout his life. Memorial contributions can be directed to Easters Seals. Visitation will take place Wednesday, January 16, from 2 – 8 p.m. at Wm.

Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Rd. , Utica (3 blocks east of Van Dyke). Funeral service Thursday, 11:00 a.m (in state 10:30) at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 9764 Dixie Highway, Ira Township, 48023.
