KOPCHITZ, Nichole Lynn – of Chesaning, age 43, died Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at her residence. Nichole was born September 17, 1975 in Saginaw, Michigan; the daughter of Robert and Paula (Amman) Kopchitz. She was a resident of the New Lothrop and Chesaning area her entire life.

Nichole was a 1994 graduate of New Lothrop High School, and earned her Master’s Degree from University of Michigan-Flint. She was employed by the Saginaw County Mental Health Department for 12 years, working closely with families affected by autism. She was a lifelong member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Maple Grove.

Nichole enjoyed 80’s and 90’s music, spending time with her daughter and sassy friends, attending concerts, weekends and Boone’s Farm at the family cabin, supporting her daughter’s sports teams, cheering on the Michigan Wolverines, reading and relaxing with the family cat. Nichole is survived by many loving family members, including: daughter, Brooke of Chesaning; parents, Robert and Paula Kopchitz of Chesaning; sister, Megan (Jeff) Sweers of Maple Grove; brother, Brett (Kim) Kopchitz of Canton; grandmother, Frances Kopchitz of Chesaning; many aunts, uncles, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by grandparents: Paul and Betty Amman, and Frank Kopchitz.

Fr. John Cotter will celebrate Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2019 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Maple Grove. Visitation will be at the Misiuk Funeral Home in Chesaning on Friday from 2-8 p.m. with a Vigil service at 7 p.m. Visitation on Saturday will be at the church from 10 a.m. until time of mass at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow.

Contributions in Nichole’s memory may directed to the family to be used for her daughter Brooke. You may light a memorial candle or share a condolence at misiukfuneralhome.com.
