Nick D. Venuto, 89, of Canton, passed away on July 2, 2018. He was born in Canton on September 10, 1928 to the late Gerado and Esther (Malatesta) Venuto. Nick proudly served his country as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.

He married the love of his life, Dorothy Kulich, on November 15, 1952 and they shared 67 loving years together. Nick retired from Loews/Lorillard after 30 years of service, was a lifelong member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, as well as a member of the Hall of Fame Racquet Club and McKinley Eagles #2370. He was also an avid golfer all his life and a member of Tam O’ Shanter Golf Course.

In his spare time, he also enjoyed playing cards with his buddies and having lunch with his siblings every Thursday which meant a lot to him. His greatest passion in life was taking care of his wife, being a father to his 4 children and being a grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Dorothy; children Karen (Jeff) Noggle, Cindy (Steve) Savage, Gerri Venuto and Nicholas (Annette) Venuto; grandchildren Tara (Justin) Thompson, Billy (Katie) Noggle, Jason (Niki) Savage, Brett (Francesca) Savage, Eddie Grimsley, Brandi-Leigh (Cody) Kolsky, Lana Pochiro and Gianini Venuto; great- granddaughters Paige and Mia Noggle and Keelie and Livvy Savage; brother Sam (Josie) Venuto; and furry companion Bob.

In addition to his parents, Nick was preceded in death by his sister Mary Sweesy. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 6, 2018 from 9am to 10am at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will follow promptly at 10am with Fr.

Weikart officiating and burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 4940 Tuscarawas St W, Canton, OH 44708 or to Crossroads Hospice, 3743 Boettler Oaks Dr E, Uniontown, OH 44685. The family would also like to give special thanks to Rhonda, Alyssa and the entire staff at the Laurels of Massillon for their care and compassion during Nick’s stay.
