Obituary for Mrs. Nona Lucille Maples Mrs. Nona Lucille Larson Maples 91. , of the Forts Lake Community passed away on April 22,2018 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on December 20,1926 in Jackson County.

She was a member of Franklin Creek Baptist Church, she was employed with Clarks Clothiers in Pascagoula, before working for and retiring from Maples Auto Repair in Pascagoula. She also worked the Animal Trap Co. in Pascagoula. She was a loving and compassionate wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and sister.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years Howard Maples, her son Paul H. Maples, and her granddaughter Kelly Maples. She is survived by her children Mackie (Sallie) Maples, Dianne (John) Holder, and Daughter-in-Law Hazel Maples all from the Forts Lake Community, her sisters Joyce Thompson of Mobile, Kay Chism of Memphis. She will also be sadly missed by her 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and special 1st great great granddaughter Nona Marie Sessions.

Visitation will be Tuesday April 24,2018 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Forts Lake Assembly of God Church. The funeral will be Wednesday April 25,2018 from the sanctuary of Forts Lake Assembly of God Church at 11:00 am with a one-hour visitation prior to the service. Burial will follow in W.R.Clark cemetery in Forts Lake.

Rev. Ralph Smith and Rev. Tim Cauley will be officiating.

Pallbearers will be the grandchildren Anthony Maples, Lucas Welch, Laython Maples, Cody Holder, Dylan Fulton, and Douglas Maples. Honorary pallbearers will be Justin and Jayden Maples. The family would like to extend a sincere thanks to the Singing River Hospice of Light, and special granddaughters Tosha Pittman, and Deandra Fulton for the care and compassion during Mrs. Maples illness.
