Nora Ann Mauldin, age 94, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 4, 2019. She is now reunited in Heaven with her husband, Bob; daughter, Bobbie Ann; granddaughter, Stephanie; grandson-in-law, Mike Inglis. She is survived by her son, Robert “Bob” Mauldin; daughter-in-law, Terri Mauldin; brother, Jimmy Williams (Beverly); six grandchildren, Phyllis Inglis, Cindy Jackson, Renee (Don) Kuhn, Anita (Dean) Rogers, Robyn (Bill) Banks and Robert (Alicia) Mauldin; twelve great-grandchildren, Ryan, Brittni, Blake, Maggie, Morgan, Katelynn, Brett, Hayley, Emma, Cole, Jack and Nora Katherine; and three great-great-grandchildren, Kaylie, Bryce and Nova.

Nora Ann married Bob before he shipped off to the Army during World War II. A baby girl was born (Bobbie Ann) while Bob was overseas, five years later came a son, Robert Warren. Nora Ann was a God-fearing woman and a former member of Levy Pentecostal Church.

She could set you straight about what a true Christian was and how to live the right way. Nora Ann was known to all her friends and family as “Nanny”. She babysat all her grandchildren and showered them with love.

Their pictures adorn the walls of her house like wallpaper. The grandchildren’s friends also took “Nanny” as their own grandmother. She was famous for her home-cooked meals, sweet tea and fried chocolate pies.

She could cook up a meal in minutes for family and friends. She loved chocolate candy and cookies with a passion. Nora Ann and her late husband, Bob loved to go camping.

They took some of the grandchildren with them on all their trips to Big Sandy or Devil’s Fork. Nanny was especially proud of her family and their accomplishments. Her late daughter, Bobbie Ann had been a member of Eastern Star and her son, Bob became the North Little Rock Fire Chief.

Nanny was a fierce caregiver at heart and took care of all her family when they were sick. She kept a vigil at the hospital until they were able to go home. For the last 5 years of her life, Nanny was shut-in but still able to stay in her own home with help from primary caregiver, granddaughter, Phyllis.

Nanny leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., burial will be in Edgewood Memorial Park.
