Obituary for Norma Jean Wahle Dateline: Alton Norma Jean Wahle, 82, died at 11:05 p.m. Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Integrity of Alton. Born January 14, 1936 in Kansas City, KS, she was the daughter of Vernon and Rachel (Leatherman) McDaniel. She retired from the human rerdzt/s department of Boling Concrete in St. Louis, MO and was a member of Christway Church in Godfrey.

On June 27, 1955 she married Donald R. Wahle Sr. in Alton. He preceded her in death on January 23, 1995. Surviving are two sons, Donald Wahle Jr. (Maria) of Park City, IL, and David Wahle (Sharon) of Alton.

Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Leslie Elkins, Bobby Jo Perez, Donny, Nicholas, Andrew, Benjamin and Cort Wahle, and Justin and Andria Gillespie, 10 great grandchildren, Emilie Steele, Carly May Wahle, Karson Elkins, Nora Jane Wahle, Lydia Jo Wahle, Camryn Marie Wahle, Sophia Rae Wahle, Trevion Gillespie, Zayden Gillespie and Anthony Logan Perez and one sister, Betty Dye of Virginia Beach, VA. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, July 16, 2018 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton where funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2018.

Reverend Steve Rice will officiate. Burial will be at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
