Obituary for Two Star Eagle Two Star Eagle, was born May 10, 1933 in Joplin, Mo to Red Eagle and Goldie (Owen) Eagle. Two Star made her journey to the Spirit World on September 24, 2018. Two Star Eagle married Benjamin F. DeMond on September 24, 1955 and together raised six children.

Two Star is survived by her children, Thomas Eagle, Lance J (Nancy), Rexford Jason, Bené Star (Andy) Hentrich and Lezlie Monique (Tim) Kearney. Two Star (Grammie), is also survived by sixteen Grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, one sibling Eagle Feather Barker, nieces Monica Star Jerrells, Tracy Dale Barker and dear friend Dee Reinhardt-Behning. Two Star was preceded in death by her parents, Red Eagle and Goldie, son Jeffery Val DeMond, brother Little Pony Eagle and nephew Derrick Tyler Barker.

Two Star and Ben DeMond together owned and operated Star Sign Company in Alton for more than thirty years. Locally, they were members of Twelfth Street Presbyterian Church, Madison County Home Builders Association, and the St. Louis Schussboomers Ski Club. Together Ben and Two Star enjoyed fishing in Minnesota, snow skiing and Imperial Swing Dance, as well as extensive traveling.

A proud member of the Oglala Sioux Nation, Two Star left an eternal memory in all who knew her. Her unwavering love for her children, her beautiful smile and determined spirit will be missed by all. The DeMond-Eagle legacy will live on; the wisdom and lore she shared in the wildly, curious eyes of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren is the most precious gift.
