Obituary for Joyce Ann Baker Dateline: Alton Joyce Ann Baker, 72, died at 9:36 p.m. Thursday, September 20, 2018 at her home. Born August 8, 1946 she was the daughter of James R. and Annie L. (Burger) Pruitt. Mrs. Baker worked in the book store at Lewis & Clark Community College.

On July 3, 1971 she married Jimmie Allen Baker in Alton. He survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Ronna Haas (Dennis) of Wood River, and Susan Padgett (Jeff) of Grant Fork, IL, five grandchildren, Kyle Haas (Balee), Nicholas Haas, Zachary Haas, Travis Nash and Cory Nash, and six great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until time of memorial service at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Reverend Phil Sadaka will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Godfrey Fire Department.
