OBITUARY Norma Lisa Vela August 10, 1969 – October 25, 2018 Norma Lisa Vela gained her glorious halo on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at a hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas at the age of 49. She was born on August 10, 1969 to Homobono Garza, Jr. and Nelia Perez Garza in Falfurrias, Texas. Norma graduated with her Bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University in Kingsville, Texas and was recently working with Brooks County ISD under the CIS Program.

She also worked throughout her lifetime as a Director for an adult day care center, a Tax Preparer for Jackson Hewitt and with the Falfurrias Head Start Program of Falfurrias. Norma loved helping people in any way she could and she really enjoyed working. As she entered Heaven, she was reunited with her father, Homobono Garza, Jr. and her brother, Jesse Joe Molina.

She leaves behind to remember all the wonderful memories her mother, Nelia Garza of Falfurrias; two daughters, Alexandra Nicole Vela of McAllen, Texas and Emma Nicole Vela of Falfurrias; sister, Gilma Alicia Bigelow of Falfurrias; four nephews, Cody James Bigelow, Homobono “RD” Bigelow, Charles Christian Bigelow all of Falfurrias and Jesus Molina of San Antonio, Texas; two nieces, Brenda Flores of Virginia and Alyssa Molina of San Antonio and many uncles, aunts and cousins.
