Obituary for Odell Reese Odell Reese was born on June 30, 1923 in Comanche County to Dewey and Lura Mae (Wilson) Reese. He served his country in the Army during World War II. Odell married Myrlene Stanton on December 25, 1949.

He went on to work for J. V. Lee Vending for a number of years before becoming the owner in 1968. Odell was a member of Hope Lodge #310 for over 50 years, the Moslah Shrine in Fort Worth, a Life Member of the Disabled American Veterans, and V.F.W. Post #3278 in Brownwood. Odell is survived by his wife of sixty-eight years, Myrlene Reese of Comanche; two sons, Stanton Reese and Stacy Reese.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Lee Reese and U.V. Reese and a sister-in-law, Nita Reese. Odell passed from this life on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at age 95. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Scottish Rite Hospital, 2222 Welborn St., Dallas, 75219 or to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, PO BOX 613377, Memphis, TN 38101-3377.
