Obituary for Melton D Stanley Melton D. Stanley passed away peacefully Friday, October 26, 2018. Melton was born November 3, 1929, in Goldthwaite, Texas, to Ernest and Gladys (Daniel) Stanley. He attended school in Comanche, then joined the United States Army and served for three years.

Melton married Nancy Shelton on February 2, 1966. Melton is survived by 3 sons, Deja Stanley and wife Betty, Ricki Stanley and wife Linda, Micki Stanley and wife Louanne; daughters, Patricia and husband Dennis, Lisa Langley and husband; grandchildren, Ruby Joann Stanley, Rose Stanley, Trey Allen and wife, Cody Allen and wife, Chad Stanley and wife, Janson Stanley and wife, Chris Langley, Emily Langley, Pam and husband, Paul Hancheck, Dennis Jr and wife Karla Kopp, Kimberly Kopp and Tom, Kevin Kopp and wife Jackie; brother, Billy Stanley and wife Sharla; nieces, nephews, uncle, and many cousins. He was preceded in death by wife of 43 years, Nancy Stanley; parents, Ernest and Gladys Daniel Stanley; son, Jimmy Stanley, sister, Joyce Byrd and husband Martin James Byrd; nephew, Larry Byrd.
