Obituary for Lucille McClead Lucille McClead, age 95, of Brownwood passed away on October 14, 2018 at a care center in Lubbock. Lucille was born on August 7, 1923 in Prue, Oklahoma to Adam and Mary (Molder) Hensley. Lucille married John V. McClead on August 21, 1941 in Odessa.

They made their home in Seminole for 40 years. They subsequently moved to Lake Brownwood to enjoy their retirement. Lucille was a homemaker and caretaker.

She was active in her church and was a wonderful cook. She loved to prepare meals for her family and her church family. She is survived by her daughter Diana and husband Kenneth Condon, granddaughter Mandy Satterwhite, and grandsons Clint McClead and Tye McClead and several great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband John McClead, son Charles McClead, her parents, four brothers; Orville Hensley, Elbert Eugene Hensley, Hubert Theron Hensley and John Newton Hensley, two sisters; Opal Lameta Lamn and Beatrice Ella Aylor. The family is grateful to niece Sharon Miller for her loving care and companionship with Lucille in her later years, as well as to Bender Terrace in Lubbock for their care.
