Obituary for Lois Brown Scott Lois Brown Scott was 97 when she went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 6, 2018. She was born August 25, 1921 in Central Texas, to Emzy and Ada Brown a 7th generation Texan whose Brown patriarch arrived in Texas in the 1820’s. Lois married J. Fred Scott, June 10, 1939 and their union was blessed with three children.

Mama Lois, as she was known by her family, was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for 64 years. At Calvary, she was a very active member in many areas including teaching preschoolers for many years. She was a strong believer in the Lord and she made sure her family knew and followed Him as well.

Mama Lois was many different things to those she knew. She was a great cook, a gracious hostess, a talented quilt maker, but most important a follower of Jesus Christ. Lois is survived by her son, Howard Brown Scott and wife Bobbie Scott; two daughters, Joan Marie Saucedo and Sharon Ann and husband Frank Montagna; seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and many friends.

Lois was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 49 years, J. Fred Scott, her parents and a son-in-law Alex Saucedo.
