Obituary for Olivia Dianne Holmes Dianne Holmes went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at age 68. She is survived by her mother, Hattie Holmes; one aunt, Betty Harbison; special friend, Dwight Sloan; and several cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Kirksey Holmes.

Dianne was a member of the first graduating class of Gardendale High School in 1968 and went on to receive her Masters Degree in Hospital Pharmacy from Auburn University. She was a retired pharmacist. She was a Bell Choir member of First United Methodist Church of Tuscaloosa and attended Mt.

Olive First Baptist Church for many years. Dianne enjoyed arts and crafts and was a member of the West Alabama Quilters Guild as well as North Jefferson Quilters Guild. Visitation will be Monday, June 4, 2018 from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 12:00 p.m. at The New Gardendale Funeral Home.

Burial will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Bell Choir of First United Methodist Church of Tuscaloosa, 800 Greensboro Ave, Tuscaloosa, AL 35401.
