Obituary for Opal Floyd Crowell Opal Floyd Crowell Matthews, NC Mrs. Crowell, age 95, passed away on Monday, July 16, 2018. She was born in Columbus, NC to the late Clarence Floyd and Bulah West Floyd. Opal is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas N. Crowell.

Opal is survived by her son Jimmy Crowell; granddaughter, Jamie Crowell; and sister, Linda Small. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 11:00am at Lakeland Memorial Park in Monroe, NC. Heritage Funeral Home, Indian Trail Chapel is assisting the family.
