Ora Mae McMichael, 102, of Farnam, Nebraska, died July 14, 2018 at her home in Farnam. She was born May 30, 1916 in Farnam, NE, daughter of Claude D Clement and Fern M Clement. She was a member of Ora June was born on the family farm near Farnam.

She graduated from Farnam High. She married Richard Artie McMichael on October 23, 1937 at North Platte. They had three children; Meryle, Janet and Julia.

The family lived at Grand Junction, CO for several years, at Elwood, NE for several years before moving back to the Farnam area. Ora June was a member of the Rebekka’s Lodge. She enjoyed fishing, raising flowers and doing crafts.

She like to visit with her friends over a cup of coffee. Ora June was very close to her sisters and their family and loved to spend time with them, they were affectionately known as the “Wild Bunch”. Surviving are son, Meryl McMichael, daughter, Janet Steuerwald, 8 grandchildren, sister, Dorothy Lange of Fremont, NE, sister, Delores Miller of North Platte, NE, sister-in-law, Peg Fedderson, Nikki Brand.

Ora was preceded in death by husband, Richard Artie McMichael, mother, Fern M Clement, father, Claude D Clement, brother, Emerald Clement, sister, Liona Hamel, sister, Eva McMichael, brother, Wayne Clement, sister, Clara Donner, daughter, Julia Thomas, daughter-in-law, Sharon McMichael. Visitation will be held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Gothenburg, Nebraska; Thursday, July 19, 2018, 1:00 pm – 7:00 pm, with the family present from 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm. Services will be held at Farnam United Methodist Church, Friday, July 20, 2018 at 11:00 am with Pastor Neil Kloppenborg officiating.

Interment will follow in the Farnam Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or the Farnam Senior Center.
