Obituary for Orlando Casanova Orlando Casanova, age 57 of Bridgeport, CT. , entered into eternal rest on Sunday, February 11, 2018 in Bridgeport Hospital, surrounded by the love and support of his family. Orlando was born January 5, 1961 in Manhattan, New York; the beloved son of Lionor Padilla & the late Domingo Casanova.

Orlando was a loving and dedicated family man. He had a passion for cooking and worked for many years as a chief. Orlando was always there for anyone who needed him.

He put the needs of others before his own, and always supported those he loved. Orlando enjoyed racing and organized many races in the past. He also loved music and was an awesome DJ, known as DJ Crazy Kid.

Orlando will be remembered most for his kindness and generosity. Orlando is survived by: wife of 40 years, Evelyn Ortiz; daughter, Lillian Casanova of Bridgeport; son, Pablo Enrique Ortiz & daughter-in-law Deserae Boyce of Longbranch, NJ. ; sister, Maria Torres (Jose) of Bridgeport; sister Madalyn Casanova of Bridgeport; brother, Edwin Casanova (Chavito) of Puerto Rico; four grandchildren, Dimian Torres, Gazlyn Torres, Madison Ortiz, Maranda Ortiz; and a host of extended family and friends who will cherish Orlando’s memory.

Friends may greet the family on Friday, February 16, 2018 from 7pm-9pm at Community Funeral Chapels, 798 Park Ave. Bridgeport, CT. Tel: 203-334-9999.
