Garza, 76, of Kingston died Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford. He was born December 17, 1942 in Batesville, TX to Juan F. and Angelita (Aviles) Garza. Oscar was a veteran of the U. S. Army.

He will be remembered for his witty personality and sense of humor. He was always ready to tell a good joke and loved to make people laugh and feel good. He will be dearly missed by his loving family and many dear friends.

Survivors include his wife, Juanita Garza; one son, Oscar Garza, II; two grandchildren, Mercedes Garza and Elizabeth Arrigoni; and his three siblings, Rosa (Raul) Rios, Hector (Sylvia) Garza and Emma Mendez. He was preceded in death by his parents and his two sisters, Oralia Lebensorger and Silvia Garza. His visitation will be on Saturday, Jan.

26th from 9:00-11:00 AM at the Butala Funeral Home and Crematory in Sycamore, IL. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to his family in care of the Butala Funeral Home and Crematory, 1405 DeKalb Ave.
