Obituary for Oval Celeste Parker (Kiser) Oval Celeste Parker, 97, of Des Arc, MO, passed away Thursday, November 22, 2018, at Clark’s Mountain Nursing Center. She was born at Piedmont, MO, September 19, 1921, to parents Samuel and Alcie (Eaton) Kiser. Oval graduated in 1940 from Patterson High School as Salutatorian.

She went to Cape Teachers College and taught at Millcreek and Brunot Schools. On October 2, 1946 she married Nolen D. Parker and they were blessed with four children. In 1960 she began working in the office at Brown Shoe Company.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed working on her farm, making butter and cottage cheese and she was an outstanding cook. Oval was saved, November 1942 and joined Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church until March 23, 1947 when she joined Beulah Baptist Church and was a very active member.

Oval will be greatly missed by her family and friends as she has left a great void. In addition to her parents Oval is preceded in death by her husband of sixty-six years; brothers: Oliver Kiser, Oscar “Pete” Kiser; sisters: Ollie Goad, Ona Green. She is survived by children: Donald Parker and wife Donna of Edmond, OK, Dennis Parker and wife Sherry of Brunot, MO, Betty Collier and husband Gerald of Jackson, MO, Wanda Marsh and husband Clay of Brunot, MO.

Nine grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at 5:00 pm Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont, MO. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm Sunday, November 25, 2018 at Beulah Baptist Church, Brunot, MO.

Burial will follow at Beulah Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Beulah Cemetery, in care of Pricilla Clements, HC 68 Box 55A Des Arc, MO 63636. Online condolences can be made at www.
