Pamela Joyce Rahilly, (Pam) 73, of Pawling, NY, peacefully fell asleep in death with her family by her side on May 4th, 2019 at the Kaplan Family Hospice Center in Newburgh, NY. Pam was born in Madera, CA on October 6, 1945, to Leland and Zora Rhine, the 5th of 6 children. She married Peter (Pete) Rahilly Jr. in 1968 and they raised their two daughters, Susan and MaryEllen in Merced, CA.

Pete died in 1979 leaving Pam to raise their daughters on her own. Pam and her daughters moved to Patterson, NY in 1991 to be near the Watchtower Educational Center to serve as volunteers in the construction of the facility. Pam’s life was centered around her love for God and she was fully dedicated to her volunteer work of sharing the good news of God’s kingdom to those in her community.

Despite the challenges she faced in life, she maintained a positive attitude and pleasant disposition, and was known for her beautiful smile. She never focused on her problems or her illness, but instead focused on God’s Kingdom as the solution to the painful things she had to endure. She also in a selfless way focused on helping others and was a of encouragement to those facing their own trials.

As an avid student of the Bible, she treasured God’s many promises found within the scriptures. By applying bible principles that she had learned, she became an exemplary wife, daughter, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, and “best” friend to many. She was known for her generous spirit, her love of people, her sense of humor, and zeal for the ministry.

She had the ability to make everyone her friend. As a result of these precious qualities, Pam will be greatly missed by family and friends across the country. She is survived by her daughters Susan Rahilly, MaryEllen Seff and husband Tom Seff, her Grandson Aiden Seff, as well as her siblings Darlene Azevedo of Madera, CA, Charles Parish of Merced, CA, Sharon Dibble and husband Glen of Kamiah ID, Regina McDowell of Fredericksburg, TX, as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Peter, and brother Jack Parish. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 1 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 568 Route 22, Pawling NY, 12564. In lieu of flowers the family requests that any donations be made to jw.org or the Kaplan Family Hospice Center.
