Patricia Dian Word 61, of Phenix City, Alabama passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at her home. A memorial service will be held Friday, April 27, 2018 at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel beginning at 3:00 PM EST. Mrs. Word was born May 14, 1956 in Tallapoosa, Georgia to the late Hubert Grizzard and Lily Bell Thrower.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, collecting figurines, watching rifleman and wheel of fortune. Surviving are her husband Charles Word, two daughters Teresa White and Pamela Stokes, son Buddy Albert, six grandchildren, David Burkett, Timothy White, Edward Hopkins, Steven Woodham, Michael Woodham and Breanna Woodham, two step grandchildren Shannon Stokes and Justin Stokes, several great grandchildren, Braden Burkett, Wyatt Burkett, Macy Burkett, Jayda Roulhac, Brooklyn Roulhac and Azul Rodriguez and one great grandson on the way. She is also survived by two brothers Otis Weeks and Hubert Johns, two sisters Brenda Albert and Joyce.
