Patricia Brucker, 80, residing in Granger, passed away peacefully at 6:34 pm Tuesday, November 13, 2018 in her home. She was born September 28, 1938 in East Saint Louis, IL to the late David and Jane Marie (Roy) Roche. On September 16, 1961 in Holy Cross Catholic Church, South Bend, Patricia married Gerald W. “Jerry” Brucker, who survives.

In addition to her loving husband of 57 years, she is survived by daughters, Jill (Walter) Pyfer of Granger and Lesley Brucker of South Bend; sons, David (Suzanne Pesce) Brucker of Edwardsburg, MI and Gregory Brucker of South Bend; grandchildren, Chelsea Snell of Granger, Tyler Meade of Grand Rapids, MI and Alec Brucker of South Bend; and two great grandsons, Noah Snell and Maximus Gregory. Patricia was preceded in death by five sisters, Elizabeth Mumaw, Jane Watkins, Rita Bailey, Mary Folk and Christine Ake; as well as three brothers, David Roche, Francis Roche and Joseph Roche. Patricia worked as a medical assistant in her younger years and retired after ten years.

She enjoyed spending her time as a mother and grandmother, as well as spending winters in Estero, Florida since 1997. Patricia was a long time member of St. Theresé, Little Flower Catholic Church. She was an avid and excellent golfer.

Patricia and her husband have been long standing members of South Bend Country Club, where Patricia won the Women’s Club Championship in the year 2000. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. This is how she will always be remembered.

Patricia gave unconditionally to others with grace and love. She touched all those she cared for and will forever live in their hearts. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Friday, November 16, 2018 at St. Theresé, Little Flower Catholic Church, 54191 N. Ironwood Road, South Bend.

Graveside services will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 – 11:00 am Friday in the church prior to mass. Palmer Funeral Home – Hickey Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.

Expressions of sympathy in memory of Patricia may be donated to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Online condolences may be left for the Brucker family at www. palmerfuneralhomes.com.
