Patrick’s Obituary Patrick John Colliere, Sr., 69, of Boonsboro, formerly of Hyattsville, Md. passed away, Sunday, January 6, 2019, at home surrounded by his family. Born March 29, 1949 in Washington, DC he was the son of the late, John Patrick and Mary (Lacovaro) Colliere.

In addition to his parents, he also was preceded in death by one brother, Philip Colliere; two sisters, Judy Colliere and Josephine Colliere. Mr. Colliere was a US Marine veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a parishioner of St. Jerome’s Catholic Church, Hyattsville, Md.

; a member of the American Legion Colmar Manor Post 131; President and coach of the Hyattsville, Mt. Rainier and Brentwood (H.M.B.) Boys and Girls Club. Mr. Colliere was a man of faith, whom enjoyed time with his family, golf, motorcycles, coaching, family beach time and all home team sports.

His zest for life was undeniable and his smile lit up the room. He retired from Amtrak as a safety officer with 30 years of service. He is survived by his loving estranged wife of 50 years, Carolyn (White) Colliere; two children, Nancy Colliere (Brian Safrit) of Centerville, Md.

and Patrick Colliere (Anita) of Boonsboro; one brother, Joe Colliere of Suitland, Md. ; one sister, Mary Ann Aiken of North Carolina; nine grandchildren, Timothy Colliere, Sebastian Davis, Justin Colliere, Trey Colliere, Nicole Safrit, Russell Colliere, Nicholas Colliere, Colt Safrit and Chase Safrit. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at St. Jerome’s Catholic Church, 5205 Forty Third Ave.

, Hyattsville, Md. with Rev. Fr.

Scott as celebrant. Following Mass there will be a Celebration of Life from 4-8 P.M. at the Colmar Manor American Legion, 4103 Lawrence St., Colmar Manor Md. Inurnment will be held in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Patrick’s name to Hospice of Washington County or to your local Boys & Girls Club.
