Barbara’s Obituary Barbara Irene Joy, 75, of Hagerstown, passed away, Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Doey’s House in Hagerstown. Born August 14, 1943 in Hagerstown she was the daughter of the late, Robert Irving and Evelyn Pearl (Thompson) Marks. Mrs. Joy retired as a real estate agent with 35 years of service having worked for Weichter Realtors and Blue Ribbon Realty.

For 30 years she owned and operated Joy’s Packaged Liquors, Huyetts Crossroads. She was a member of the Shenandoah Bible Brethren Church, Martinsburg. Her greatest joy was to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mrs. Joy is survived by four children, Evelyn Hershberger Bowman of Hagerstown, Lester Joy and wife, Donna of Martinsburg, Elizabeth Joy of Cumberland, Md. and Donald Hershberger, Jr. of Hagerstown; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Marks and wife, Betty of Hagerstown and Ted Marks and wife, Cynthia of Hustown, Pa. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave.

, Hagerstown with Pastor Chris Lowe officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday one hour prior to services.
