Patrick “Pat” McPherson, 60, of Steubenville, OH, went to be with the Lord and his family who went before him on Thursday May 23, 2019 at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh, PA. He was born July 5, 1958 in Martins Ferry, OH, a son of the late Clarence “Mac” and Eileen (Coyne) McPherson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard McPherson; a sister-in-law, Patty McPherson; a nephew, Larry Terpenning; and a niece, Maria Hope Pestian.

Pat received a Culinary Arts Degree from West Virginia Northern and was a restaurant manager at the former Lums Restaurant and he also worked at various restaurants in the Ohio Valley. He also formerly worked as a landscaper for the Diocese of Steubenville. He was a member of Rosemont Chapel; served his country in the U.S. Air Force; enjoyed fishing; playing the guitar at various area nursing homes; and was an avid Indian Creek sports fan.

Surviving are his wife of 24 years, Linda (Melcher) McPherson, whom he married April 8, 1995; three brothers, Thomas (Arlene) McPherson of Westerville, OH, William McPherson of Ocala, FL and John “Mac” (Sue) McPherson of Mesquite, NV; five sisters, Hope Larkin of Sunbury, OH, Joan (Dan) DiFerio of Sunbury, OH, Diane Pestian of Loveland, OH, Colleen (Larry) Terpenning of Columbus, OH and Noreen (Richard) Saxon of Weirton, WV; a sister-in-law, Susan McPherson of Washington Courthouse, OH; his mother-in-law, Rose Juresko of Steubenville, OH; and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Pat gave the gift of life through organ and tissue donation. Friends will be received to celebrate Pat’s life at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Ave.

, Mingo Junction on Monday May 28th from 12- 3 p.m. Military Honors by the Ohio Valley Veterans Squad will take place at 3:00 p.m. and his funeral service will follow with Pastor Charles “Sonny” Shoe and Rev. Jack Jackson, officiating. Memorial contributions may be directed in Pat’s memory to Rosemont Chapel or the Riddles Run House of Prayer.
