Patsy Jean Burks, 74, of Sulpher Springs, AR passed away Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2018 at her home. Patsy was born on Nov.

22, 1943 in Jay, OK, a daughter of Sylvester Cox and Nellie Mae Cunningham Cox. She was the widow of the late Royce Burks. Patsy was a homemaker who enjoyed getting together with her family.

She is survived by two sons, William Franklin Downing and Jerimiah Wayne Downing; one daughter Barbara Sue McFarlan; two step sons, Rocky Downing and Ted Downing; one step daughter, Cecilia Downing; two brothers, Wesley Cox and Dale Otis Cox; two sisters, Loretta Higgs and Stella Bowman; five grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and five brothers. Visitation will be held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Siloam Springs on Thursday, October 25, 2018 from 5 – 8 pm.

Graveside services will be held at the Zena Cemetery in Zena, OK on Friday, October 26, 2018 at 2:00pm. Pastor Vic Luttrel will officiate the service under the direction of the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs. To sign online guestbook please go to www.
