Obituary for Patsy Jean Miller Patsy Jean Kirklen – Miller, 75 of Carbon, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2018. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 27th at Hamby Cemetery. A visitation will be held 6:30 – 8:00 PM Tuesday, June 26th at Edwards Funeral Home in Eastland.

Patsy was born August 29, 1942 in Brady, Texas to Wayne and Lila Kirklen. She graduated from Abilene High School in 1960. She moved to Washington D.C. and worked for J. Edgar Hoover, The Department of Agriculture, then spent 34 years at I.B.M. Patsy loved being with family, fishing, and working in the garden.

She loved canning and sharing her delicious black-eyed peas with everyone. Those peas and her homemade peanut brittle were the most treasured gifts at Christmas. She had a kind heart and all that knew her loved her.

Patsy was preceded in death by her Grandparents Slim & Mabel Kirklen, Jim & Emma Selman; Parents Wayne & Lila Kirklen; sister Kay Gist. She is survived by her husband Jerry Miller, her daughter Kathy Ferrell, daughters Tammy Crane and Sharon Bisset, brother Bobby Kirklen, sister Betty Edwards, grandsons Kendall Ferrell, Kyle Ferrell, Jeremy Watts, granddaughters Krista Wallen, Makenzie Crane, Shawna Bisset, Kimberely Hefferman, great-grandchildren Ashlynn Ferrell, Gentry and Shawan Wayne, Asia Bentley and Trey Hefferman. Her words to you “I love you more”.
