Obituary for Kathleen Carolyn Whited MESQUITE – Kathleen Carolyn Whited, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2018. She was a longtime resident of Mesquite, Texas and a proud Texan. Kathleen was born Sept.

23, 1945, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Eldridge and Velma Dunn. She attended Calallen High School and Del Mar College in Corpus Christi. She worked various jobs including waitress/bartender, storage unit manager, PTA mom and retired after a long career in accounting for Fina, later Alon USA.

Her favorite job was being a loving wife, devoted mother, adoring grandmother and aunt. She was a caring and compassionate friend to many and will be greatly missed. She and husband, Reggy of 48 years, enjoyed adventuring in their rv to see new places and make friends.

She loved to cook and you rarely left her home without a full belly. Shopping and more shopping was her guilty pleasure. She enjoyed genealogy, knitting, sewing, gardening and spending time with friends.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband, Reggy. Survivors: Sons, Dale and wife, Dolores and Charles and wife, Terri; grandchildren, Samantha, Michael and wife, Rhiannon and Kelly and Jaclynn; great-grandchildren, AJ and Ryland; plus many nephews, nieces and lifelong friends.
